The “Psychoanalysis and the Arts” is a discussion series, collaboratively produced by the Sándor Ferenczi Society, the Attila József Society, and the Petőfi Museum of Literature.
In accordance with Sándor Ferenczi’s intellectual heritage, these presentations and the following discussions provide a unique opportunity to highlight and reflect on the interaction between psychoanalysis and the arts (literature, fine arts, film, and music).
The series consists of 10 presentations annually, and it was launched in 2002.
The program series was created and moderated by Anna Valachi (1948-2018) literary historian, until 2017. Since 2018, Mónika Takacs, literary historian, has been responsible for organizing and leading the programs.
